Looking At The Stars
Abstract Jewish discussion cards created with AI
Created by Yoni Alon in February 2025.
Usage: Free to use, on behalf of the David Cards Project.
The purpose of this set:
-
Encourage dialogue about Jewish identity.
-
Highlight personal connections to Judaism.
-
Strengthen bonds among discussion participants.
-
Foster Jewish pride through engaging visual and thematic elements.
This card set leverages AI tools to reinterpret the "Star of David" symbol (Magen David), presenting it in imaginative and diverse artistic styles. The goal is to provide educators and facilitators with a new and causal visual resource that inspires discussions about Jewish identity and personal connections to it.
Thanks to Osnat Fox for the inspiration for this educational tool.

Utilization in group settings:
These cards are ideally used in group or family settings where a facilitator aims to lead identity-focused discussions. Participants are invited to select a card and share their reflections, making each session unique and personal.
Suggested discussion prompts:
-
Reflection: What emotions or thoughts do these cards evoke in you?
-
Connection: Which card resonates with you the most, and why?
-
Challenge: Is there a card that disturbs you or challenges your views? Why.
-
Memory and Feeling: Does a particular card bring up a specific memory or feeling? Share it with us.
Below are two different versions available for download and printing. Both versions contain the same cards, but the card layout varies slightly.
We recommend downloading your preferred file, printing it in color, cutting out the cards, and using them with friends, family, or participants in educational settings.
